Details: Our stay at this peaceful and picturesque site on the banks of the River Avon is always a pleasure. Wyre Piddle is a beautiful village with a riverside pub and the beautiful St Anne’s Church. There is also a park area adjacent to the site where dogs can be exercised off lead. Pershore, a thriving market town, with supermarkets, cafes and many independent shops, is a 30 minute stroll from the site, through meadows and along the river.
This weekend’s rally coincides with one of Evesham’s most celebrated historic events, The Battle of Evesham. This is a free event, which takes place along the riverside gardens. It will take you back to medieval times, where you can walk around the camp, see demonstrations of cookery, weaponry, visit huts, watch the skills of weaving etc. Hundreds of re-enactors will ‘fight to the death’, joust, and demonstrate horse and archery skill. There will be falconry displays, children’s activities and so much more. There is also a bar and many food outlets. It really is a great day out.
In keeping with this theme, we invite you to decorate your unit in the style of a knight’s tent, and how about displaying your family shield!
There is a very limited bus service from Wyre Piddle to Evesham, but the 50/51 service from Worcester, via Pershore to Evesham runs hourly.
EHU is available, but no access to showers or toilets, so units must be self-sufficient.

Directions: Take the A46 south to Texaco Petrol Station Island and take the third exit onto the A44. Stay on the A44 to the sixth roundabout and take the first exit on to the B4083. At the mini roundabout take the first exit SP Wyre Piddle Village Only. In 1/4 mile turn sharp right at stone memorial into Church Street, continue into Mile Lane.
Look for STCCC signs. The site is on the left through the boatyard.
